Social Artist and Designer, Margaret Laubser completed her Bridging Polarities through Art training in 2008. Deeply interested in the creative process, she observes how we can call forth new ideas, when we set aside our usual thought patterns and come to different ways of knowing.
Working out of a social space, embedded in a valley near Stellenbosch, Western Cape, Margaret responds to the people and the needs and opportunities which are presented. Focussing on social resilience and development, this expressive approach pays attention to growth and transition, made possible within this intentional landscape.
Working largely out of the form of the group, through art-based expression, the collective is able to respond to and affect shifts in individual and social awareness, while fostering creative capacity building.
Recently designed, the Arum Art Course – Art Renews Understanding and Meaning;
encourages engagement through the relationship of nature, form, colour and the human experience.
